We have to talk up the space in which The Lily Pad resides. The Flour Mill in McKinney is quickly becoming THE place to be married! With the second, bigger and more formal venue space opening last month, and the patio and porches almost finished on both buildings, The Flour Mill is still a secret gem in a city with a burgeoning wedding industry.
In the near future, The Flour Mill will have an in-house rental component that few others offer. Decor of all kinds and styles will be available onsite for clients to rent for their events – making this space even more unique. ”The Marketplace” (second larger and more formal hall) just opened this year, and has crystal chandeliers to die for. You must come see the new room!
Not only is The Flour Mill a great destination for your wedding, it has become one of the most popular locations for photographers and their clients. A great backdrop for senior or family portraits, and great artists like David Quisenberry Photography located on premises, The Flour Mill offers a depth of services in a unique environment.
And to bigger and badder things, here is the final look at the proposed development of East Louisiana St and the Flour Mill. We think The Lily Pad is perfectly poised to grow with this quickly expanding side of historic McKinney and look forward to serving our great town and beyond!

]]>To keep vintage the centerpieces, we have mason jarred every combination of flower, in just the right place for that wildflower look. We have laced bouquets, candles, more mason jars, and everything in between to give that romantic flair. Our newest task is a very cool idea with burlap, which we have wrapped bouquets in in the hundreds. Now we get to make the bouquet from burlap and lace flowers, in a repurposed wedding – all things with former lives
Imagine these with the pine cone boutonnieres the bride found ! Now that is a unique idea, and one I’m sure Martha Stewart came up with years ago : ) We are just excited to get to try new things that look old!
What vintage ideas have you seen for your wedding? I love to hear inspirations behing the ideas! Feel free to share!

Chandler’s Garden is in Celina, but it felt close enough to call “in-town”. What a great job David did with the HUGE pergola out there –
This bride chose the classic all white peony bouquet. You just can’t beat the romance of the peony.

This is a dress rehearsal with no lights – but we’ll certainly post the after party shots!
